With every project we invest the time to make sure we are building in the most sustainable manner possible. If you have an existing plan we advise you on the best products and systems to use that minimize waste and maximize efficiency. If we design the home with you we make sure those efficiencies are “built-in” to your plan.
Sustainable Building refers to a structure and using process that is environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building’s life-cycle: from siting to design, construction, operation and maintenance. This requires close cooperation of the design team, the architects, the engineers, and the client at all project stages.
As a standard we will construct your home to meet the Earth Advantage New Home Certification. If you hire us to design/build, we can build to any level of certification including a “net zero” home.
At the end of the project, for an additional fee we can provide you an Energy Performance Score or (EPS) which is a third party verification. Think of “EPS” as the “MPG” or miles per gallon your car gets. It is a measure of efficiency compared to other homes constructed in Oregon.
